I've heard good things about the fabric Sunbrella although I don't have it myself.

I have used Sunbrella fabric for outdoor furniture and awnings but was recently in a fabric store looking at the fabric options for a new couch we are having made for us and the owner of the store suggested I look at Sunbrella. He said many people are using on their indoor furniture now since they have so many choices that look like indoor fabrics but it is more durable. Another option is microfiber (suede looking fabric). My old couch was covered in that and you can clean up spills easily with soap and water. I have a messy husband and dog (no kids). I have cleaned up dog drool, spilled red wine, melted chocolate and many other tough stains. I haven't made a decision yet on the new couch but am considering the Sunbrella fabric since I want something different than I had before and would like a pattern (which you can't get in microfiber). Some of their fabrics are basic but others have textures and patterns and look high end.

Recently I had the dining room chairs recovered, Sunbrella was considered, it looked like a great product, but alas it was quite a bit more$ than I wanted to spend.
