I am not allowed to ship yellow lemons into any of the citrus producing areas of the US; I can ship into the NE quadrant, legally North of the Mason-Dixon line. There are several "official" reasons for that; but the truth is it is agricultural protectionism at its worst. We can and will ship to Wilmington, DE or Newark, NJ; and from there by truck to the Canadian markets. We are shipping some by air to Holland; and would ship by air to Canada; but there is no direct flight from here; and we can't ship on any airplane that stops in prohibited areas. We have recently agreed on a project that will ship 8,000 gallons of fresh Meyer lemon juice into the US market per year; and we hope to soon have a producer of our Mayancello for international export.. first places will be Italy and US.

That's a lot of lemon juice :>) I personally would like to see photos of your harvest, juicing machines, and juicing operation if they are photogenic and of course I understand if you need to keep parts of your business private. This is mostly a hobbyist forum but it would be fun to see parts of a commercial operation. We get giddy when we get our first meyer...I know, I had my first one two weeks ago...but you must harvest in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of meyers each year.

Congrats JohnM, I hope that all of those ventures turn out wonderfully. Definitely won't be a problem with all those gorgeous Meyers! I would love to be an intern at your farm, LOL!!! At the very least, do a vacation home-swap one day!!

Figs....good idea but I bet Johnmerr makes you autoclave your suitcase and your shoes first :>) I don't know what you have in Hawaii but I have whiteflies, wax scale leaf miners and some parts of Texas have the dreaded citrus greening disease. How come there aren't some really bad pests that attack grass burrs?

Here, citrus seems to attract all kinds of pests, especially mealy bugs, scale, aphids, and ANTS! I have learned, from JohnM no less (thank you!), that if I can control the ants, I can control the aphids. It is such a struggle to keep everything under control; I'm pretty sure this warm climate doesn't help. I didn't have pests until I started acquiring citrus. The mangos seem to be very resistant (knock on wood) so far. Ouch, those Texas grassburs can be very painful!! Sigh... I'd love to see your bluebonnet fields again! My kids have never seen them and I know my daughter would just SWOON! Every time we go, it isn't their blooming season : (
