patio installation in New Jersey winter?

my building project is running very behind and my Builder waited until the end to work on our patio unfortunately. I live in northern New Jersey and we are planning to install an outside fireplace, retaining walls, and pavers. all from Cambridge brand. Is it too late at this point to have our Builder install it? Does anybody know more about this?

Cold weather masonry work has considerations to be accounted for. Ask the BUILDER for a guarantee on all the work........in writing. He's guaranteeing all the rest of the build, yes? This is between the builder, his sub contractor and you the owner.

I'd wait until spring. You're not going to use it for the next few months anyway.

Wait, because even if you get "guarantee" it will be a hassle to get proper recompense. Freezing weather, concrete (which has water in it) do not go hand in hand. Your GC probably wants to do it to "finish" job and get final payment. Don't pay for anything that isn't completed. Also, probably wants to give his crews another week or so of work. Just the way of the world. Spring will be fine.

It would be best to wait until warmer months to install patio flooring. Even here in Texas I wait on any outdoor installation, although we normally only get 1-2 months of winter...sometimes less. It would be in your best interests to wait living so far north and your extreme cold conditions you have there.
