You could put up a picture shelf (sold at IKEA) with personal pictures (friends, family, etc.) in white frames. You could leave it blank. You could do a cool DIY art installation like the butterfly one I posted. I've seen it in lots of colors with butterflies, birds, and fish.

Lastly, I would find more little tiny paintings like the one by the window and hang them in a grouping. Maybe over the other dresser.

Very eclectic cottage feel to me..looks like you have gathered up pieces from the past..maybe from friends or family..super cute just needs a few tweaks..

lamp is really to small..but I would spray paint it white and place it on a stack of old books...hang picture but add a few more smaller framed pieces around it for a more cottage feel...something like this

I would put all white quilt on bed with the bright coral quilt at the end of bed and add 2 white Euro shams with a collection of blue and coral pillows.....add a touch of yellow somewhere in the room many a glass vase with yellow tulips on the chest.
