I would not give up on it. Be careful not to over water it now that it has no functioning leaves.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. My first reaction was to immediately put it in the sink and run water over the soil until the water poured out the drain hole. I've been reading the forums and I'm starting to think that was too much water since the leaves aren't functioning?

Twigs are green-Tree is alive with some possibilities.

Put the pot up to the top of the soil in a container of water and let it soak for about 1/2 hour. Then let it drain thoroughly.

Keep it moist but not soggy. Those leaves will almost certainly fall off, but within a few weeks I think you'll see some new growth. I've had my Meyer lemon for 15 years, and although it's never looked quite as bad as yours does now, it does lose some leaves every year when I bring it inside. Then it sits and does nothing for several weeks, but by February it starts to show new growth and it does so really fast, and even has flowers then, so don't give up on it. Also, no feeding until it has a good amount of leaves, then dilute the plant food for a few weeks too.
