towel hook/bar advise

Installing a towel bar today, but at the last minute, I am feelimg I want hooks. wish there was such a thing as a bar with hooks. Guess I will go shopping today. Do you think a bar is better? I think I prefer a towel to dry in a hook. It seems to hang better, as opposed to a bar. Photos don't show , but there is a wall outside of shower that will fit a bar.

Depends on where you live. If you are in a humid climate you need bars to spread your towels out to dry between uses. If yours is a dry climate, the hooks are fine. Bacteria grows in moist towels.

You actually have several options. Bed Bath and Beyond carries several varieties of bars with hooks as well as Lowe's and Home Depot. Or you could make your own very easily. Take a piece of wood - you can add trim to a 1x4 or purchase trim board - paint to match your wall color or a contrasting accent color - and select hooks to add. Check building supply stores like Lowe's or Home Depot for hooks in the closet section, bath section and knob section.

we have a small bar for my husband to hang his washcloth on to dry, the rest is hooks, including for hand towels.
