Looks like you have already removed them! Leave the poor plants in peace until they are established. If the leaves are going to die the plant will jettison them of its own accord. Until then any leaf with even a bit of green on it is feeding the plant. You are in danger of loving these things to death.

I read somewhere that sometimes when they are yellow as such they are diseased and can spread it to the other leaves. These leaves are not from my new plants, rather from the older ones I got mailed a month ago that have established. Somebody told me that when leaves are yellowing the plant uses energy to dry them up and make them fall, so it helps to remove them since they fall anyhow. Was wondering if others remove them as well or keep them.

"the plant uses energy to dry them up and make them fall," That sounds like nonsense to me. When a leaf yellows it is ceasing to use energy, not using more. All the green on those leaves would still be photosynthesising. Some yellowing is caused by disease such as bacterial leaf blight. But it can also be caused by lack of water, poor nutrition or simple old age.

Thank for the reply. My main concern is if the yellowing is contagious. These were shipped to me last month and when they arrived they had yellow leaves/spots like this already. I was told it was odd for it to happen after just 2 days in the mail, and that this is most likely to occur after 3-4 days. Anyhow, it's as if they are spreading and my concern is if they are fungal or bacteria.
