How many pots do you have? You can use subirrigation.. Put the pot(s) in a sink or large pan. Add water slowly to the sink or pan until it is about half way up the side(s) of the pot(s). Let sit in the water for several hours and the water will move up the soil through capillary action, wetting the soil. Remove from the water and allow to drain.

Yay thank you I have 2 pots like the ones for plants you get at stores they have 2 in each I'm moving them to there own pots when they get a little bigger and I will do your idea 1 time a week

You must keep the soil quite moist for new seedlings after all, they sprouted in water.

Don't be afraid to water gently from the top with a very small watering can that doesn't dump large amounts of water into the soil. The next few months in a new seedling's life is critical. Light but no sun for now unless it's just at the beginning of the day or the very end for an hour or so. If you have moderate bottom heat all the better but not necessary but don't let the soil dry out, keep it always moderately moist.

When you see your second leaf then you can lay back a bit on the watering but not to dry out for more than 1 day as those immature roots can dry out and shrivel quickly.

Also, you can let the sprouting seeds grow a leaf that is twice that length before you plant it and usually the root will form to match it.

You can also use a very diluted fertilizer at this time every 10 days or so but not too much as you might burn your fragile root.

We all have methods that work the best for us, it's up to you to see what works best for you. Good Luck....Donna

I usually let my seedlings get about 2+ inches long before I plant them, I have better luck with them at that size.
