The temperature is 1°f at the nearest Weather Underground station. It's a pretty world out there. Thankfully, it will be late morning today before I have to go out in it! No choice and it's to be colder Saturday. I'd better have something to take to the Post Office that day. I've come up with a nice winter quote ت:

It's .... -4°f in the big veggie garden this morning. I'm so glad I'm not out there!

Now, it's supposed to warm. Should be above freezing for a few afternoons, this week. Of course, snow is likely to accompany this warmer air.

Since everything on the ground is frozen, I don't think that there is any chance of a brown Christmas.

1 degree here with a high of 6 predicted, then on down to -11 tonight. It's ccccold! Warmer air here next week will be welcomed.

Big, big thaw coming our way!

Accompanying will be snow ... and, rain?!! And, Wind!

It looks like it will only last for about 36 hours. Then, back to more normal wintry weather, with snow that won't ... melt.?!

Surely any day now all this snow will melt and we can start with the spring activities, right? Right?

The neighbor was stuck in the middle of the road this morning.

Level ground, yesterday's slush had frozen. No snow plow has appeared on this road but there was only about 6" snow cover before it was briefly Slush City.

who lucked out and didn't notice the neighbor until she had sprinkled kitty litter under the front tires and was on her way to put the bag back in the trunk. and, who breathed a sigh of relief when she eased forward and drove off to work ...

It was snowing almost continuously for 2 days, I think. It stopped finally, yesterday. However, the snowfall has been so light that there seems to be only about 10 inches on the ground. Some of the snow melted earlier last week but I
can't remember when "flurries" have essentially contributed the entirety
of a 10" snowpack.

Uh oh. Temperatures down in the high teens again this morning. The wind is calm.

Here comes the snow again! The WS gives us a 100% chance for tonight
and says that it may be heavy, at times. That will be new, instead of an
incessant sprinkle. But, quite a bit of wind ..!

With so much light snow already around, I suspect that roads will be blown closed.

I began thinking several weeks ago about where I put the snow. It
may soon be a problem. Just doing things like - "I throw it this way as
far as possible so there will be room for the garbage cans!" Shoot, I
hate to fret about such things but some parts of my yard begin to look
like snow storage areas! Picket fences help with cribbing ...
