Hi - Hope this helps - when my children our grew their toys - I got them involved with a local charity where they participated in giving them away.

Childrens hospitals would be a good place, especially cancer wards.

Some hospitals can't take used toys - just had a conversation about that this week when delivering new toys to pediatric patients at a hospital near me. Homeless family shelter or domestic violence family shelters are good options.

Emily works for house. My guess is Houzz is considering some sort of marketing relating to kids.

I saved toys for any future kids, and then saved a few special ones for future grandchildren to play with at Grandma's. Most of the rest I donated to an organization that helps homeless families get and set up new homes so those kids could have toys to call their own.

My mother kept my legos, jigsaw puzzles, some games such as Clues and Monopoly, as well as some classic Fisher Price toys. She gave away the rest. Today, my children are happily playing with these toys, who kept very fall, so I will keep them for my grandchildren (and give away the rest).

Agree with Kathy. We did a combination. Our grand daughter is now enjoying Brio, Duplos, blocks. I will drag out the Playmobil later.

Big Brothers - Big Sisters will take toys and kids clothes, and they pick them up from your house.

My mother kept a lot of the good toys. Now her great grand children play with them. They love them! Especially the Fisher Price Stuff. They walk in the door and head straight for the toy corner. We live in a culture where we are encouraged to get rid of everything. It is beautifully sustainable to watch your children's, children's, children playing with the same toys. Plastic never dies!
