Is old charcoal lighter or darker than charcoal

    They are both the same darkness. The "Old" style is we use 1 coat of paint and then we sand the edges and put a stain over it to make it look distressed. With the regular charcoal we put 2 coats of paint on it and then we don't sand it or anything so it's a nice clean finish.
