Depending on couch size I might not put the couch back to your front door, I don't think there will be enough room for walking behind it, either side and viewing room in front. I would put your new couch where you have the old one now and place two chairs and table with lamp opposite to visually keep the room open, with the tv on the large shared wall so you can view from the hall.
