Hello, 'fungus gnats' are usually a sign or a poor draining mix, a heavy mix, and decomposed one holding too much moisture or over watering....

Is there any way you can help that mix to dry out better? I would think about using a mix like the 5.1.1 come the summer time..You won't have any gnats then..

I still have some gnats and all my trees are in the 5-1-1 and some that have them are the ones that drain incredibly well :-(

just now! I discovered the source and they were bad! It was one of my adopted plants from my neighbor...ugh. I cleaned leaves and sprayed a few days ago, but while I had a warm day, took out the worrisome trees and sprayed again...don't mind Maria...she likes to show off ;-)

That's just too darn funny..I had a feeling with record warmth for this one day..lol Love the chicken..I'm thinking on getting a few myself...Just goes to show you that you have the trees you yourself take care of under good pest control...Great job)

I am still having problems with that one tree and the black citrus aphids. Just can't seem to get rid of them with Neem, HO, soap spray, alcohol. Lucky it is just the one tree so far though and just the new growth. Driving me crazy though.
