"Fiesta" top is finished

Here's that crazy, bright. row-by-row quilt from years ago that I got from my neighbor when she cleaned out her stash. I had debated whether to make the quilt or to just put the fabric into inventory. I would never have chosen this particular pattern and fabric, but it's kind of growing on me. My husband really likes it (but then you should see some of the outfits he puts together to wear). The flying geese row turned out a little bigger than the other rows, and I really had to ease it in. I hope it will be okay once it's quilted. As happens with most of the quilts I make "just cuz," I'm sure the perfect owner will someday appear and I will gift it to them. Until then, it will just be waiting.

Thanks to everyone for the kudos. The border was a striped fabric, Vasu. The Christmas tree shirt was the very first quilt I ever made. It holds a special place in my heart. Lots of points cut off, but I still love it. Thanks.

Really nice. It lives up to it's name. I really like the borders. Is it pieced or did you use a striped fabric?

I always like bright colors and this quilt showcases them nicely. It's not a style I would select, but I agree with you...it grows on you! Nice done!

Lois, it turned out great! I know you weren't sure about a couple of the patterns/colors when you started, but they all play very well together now that it is finished. Lovely tree skirt in the background!

Yeah, it kind of grows on you. You did a good job! It does us good to get out of our comfort zone once in a while.
