My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    A quick note about our experience: We consistently design between 70-90 kitchens/year (for over 34 years) and have literally designed thousands of kitchens.....We also design full structural including below-grade foundation plans.....
    We have 2 Chicagoland locations and a Michigan location which cover the Wisconsin to Indiana borders, N.W. Indiana and S.W. Michigan.....
    Anyway, we use the "big 3" Granite warehouses in Elk Grove Village (IL).....MS Intl, American Granite and Apex.....They supply fabricators in a 3 state area.....We had just finished a client using this Granite and we got it at American.....Hope this helps a bit.....John & Brigitte

      In our area it is usually about $65.00/s.f. but so much of this depends on the fabricator's markup.....John & Brigitte

      you can find Aquarella quartzite in Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland and Cincinnati OH, and Grand Rapids MI at Mont Granite locations; it is a very exclusive quartzite, very small quarry, beautiful

      I got mine in Bayonne, NJ at http://www.quartzmasters.com/.  They are pleasant to deal with and have a huge selection. Their price was quite a bit lower than elsewhere. I can't really tell you the price because I paid the fabricator, so my price included the templating, fabricating, and installation.

      No, not yet, our kitchen is not done yet. Here are some photos of the slabs themselves that I snapped at Quartzmasters stoneyard with my cellphone. The colors in the photo are a bit less vibrant than in person, but I guess it will all depend on the lighting in the room.
