ideas for this space

Any ideas for what could be done with this space, e.g. Decking in the courtyard, pulling up tiles, etc

Both really, as the tiles continue through both areas. I was thinking of putting bi fold doors in to open up the space but kinda stumped on what to do with the floor surface

I wouldn't take up the tiles (you could add some nice indoor/outdoor rugs) and I think the windows are fine as well. Bi bolds would open up the space though and black is modern. I would try and connect the inside/outside and add comfortable and practical seating and accessorize to warm up the spaces and make them more useable.

i agree. put more happy potted plants, lounging areas, decoration. the area is great for children and puppies, but can still make a wonderful adult enjoyment spot. outdoor fireplace in courtyard.

Lots of comfy seating and lots of greenery, throw in some gorgeous solar lighting. Lovely area to work with
