What color is your furniture?

It's currently a beige but it's going to be switched out to new stuff once I paint walls. It's really an open canvas. We do have a pool table that is deep brown with red felt in the same room.

I think I would do a color like Sherwin Williams "Steamed Milk" I think it will tie in your stone and the wood accents and also brighten up the space a lot. Usually I love gray but I just don't see that working well in this space unless you did a greige like Benjamin Moores "Collingwood"

It's not an open canvas since you're keeping your carpet and your fireplace. First, choose your furniture colors that look good with the carpet and fireplace. You have much fewer choices for furniture fabrics, so that choice gets made first. The very last thing you choose is always the paint color, because you have so many choices and it needs to look good with your rug, fireplace and furniture.
