Narrow high traffic room

I have a narrow room that has high traffic running right through it. I need a floor plan that will help me entertain but keep the open feeling I like. Where can I go to find this? Searched Internet for months. Only find narrow room floor plans. Not o es with a sliding door to backyard on one end.
