Ladybanks and freeze damage

Howdy ya'll...I have had this Ladybanks rose forever and I just noticed that the deep freeze we had recently did more damage than I realized. Practically all of the leaves are dead or falling off! I have never seen this happen before ( even in the 2010 long freeze).

Has anybody else ever had this happen? I am guessing no spring blooms for me next season - should I just prune it back to the ground? ( I had to do this a few years ago due to a new fence being put up- the guy that did it did alot of damage to it)
