Good to know. I wasn't aware there were two color forms. I happen to know that the leaf I was given came from a plant with green stems and calyx so I assumed mine would be the same. I have a photo of the mother plant in bloom and there was no hint of reds. Interesting.

I ordered one of those...and almost lost it, by letting it get to dry. I have new mini-plants coming from below the soilline. At least here I get to see what it might look like one day (lol)..if I don't kill it completely.

I have mine (and most of my plants) wicked to self water. I have far too many to keep up with them otherwise. Good luck with it, dbarron! You can use an exacto knife to remove the suckers once they are a bit larger and pot them up separately to have backup plants. Or simply take a leaf and put it down like you would an African violet.

Aiko is a serious baby producer off of leaves so you'd soon have them coming out of your ears.

Yes... it suckers... and if you dry it to the bones - it will sucker like crasy, Not that easy to kill it by drying.. If will hold juice in the stem fro long long time.
