Split an order of Super Hot pepper seeds?

Brennan from our site has offered me some brain strain seeds already (thank you!!!). I'm looking to fill out some additional super hots (or not so super hots depending upon the group).

http://www.chiliplants.com has a 5 packet minimum. Each packet is 20 or so seeds. While I want to grow Carolina Reapers and Ghost Peppers, I can't imagine using 100 seeds spread over 5 varieties.

The super hot seed packets are (to my mind) expensive: between $7-$10 (the Reapers appear to be the only $10 packet).

If I plant 3-4 of each and get 1-2 to sprout I'm way ahead of my possible consumption.

Anyone(s) willing to split an order of 5 packs? I really don't see the need to spend $50 in order to grow 5 plants that will scorch my eyes out <g>.

I'll spring for postage to spread all the partial packs around.

I have some ghost pepper seeds from this season that I could send you. I thought the same thing when I bought my packs, but for the past two years or so depending on which type it is, I have been growing from seeds and burning my face off for free. The only issue that I have had is that the peppers are grown around other peppers, so they look and taste pretty much like which plant I saved them from, but sometimes they are a little different. One had bumps and looked like a pickle when it was green, and a tail like a scorpion, I dubbed it the pickle-scorpi-ghost.

I'd be happy to send you some Carolina Reaper seeds. My pods are just about ready. In fact I just posted a discussion on here with a pic trying to get some feedback on whether or not they are ready to harvest. This was my first time growing them and they came out great...I think.

To send a PM, just click on the user's name, then there should be a button on the right that says Message. I sent just sent you a message.

When Andy-in-NYC posted "I can't figure out how to create/send a private message." I tried & couldn't figure it out either. So when Texas Grower posted "To send a PM, just click on the user's name, then there should be a button on the right that says Message." I thought aha - easy enough!

But it wasn't there? So I looked at a few others and some did & some didn't.

A little more research turned up this from early '15, Can you message me or anyone else????? with a MOD reply:

Hi All, wanted to make sure you all knew that we've made a change to how messaging works and you can now allow messages from anyone (not just people you follow) by changing the setting in your profile. Here's the FAQ with more info!

And that FAQ gives us this info:

How do I message another user?

You can message any other user on Houzz that has enabled messaging for their profile. There are three settings available for messaging on your Houzz profile. Click Edit Profile, then Advanced Settings to select one of the following options.

Do not allow users to message me
Allow my followers to message me
Allow anyone to message me

In order to insure your settings allow Private Messaging follow these steps.

Hover cursor over Your Houzz and click on Edit Profile.

In Account Information click on Advanced Settings.

Scroll to the bottom of this page.

Insure box is checked and Allow anyone to message me is in box, click Update.

Now that we have some info maybe they could update their accounts to see if this works? I'm assuming it does but we can't be sure until it's tested. Texas Grower sent you as PM, right? Guess what? I cant! No message icon in your profile for me! What's your settings? I wonder about his....

I changed the settings. Let's see if it a) works; b) I get flooded with spam <g>.

Stored history & cookies often reload old pages, try opening a new GW page and see what happens.

Okay I changed my setting to allow anyone to message me. andyinnyc can you try to message me back again?

Sorry for the delayed response. I went to change the setting on my account and it already had it set to allow everyone to message me. Let me know if it still says that, I clicked on the allow everyone to message me and saved it again. If it doesn't work I can try sending you a message while I figure out the issue.
