Hi , ok, it is driving me nuts. i live in canada, and keep trying to find funky tiles ( i seriously even have an idea book called funky floors and tiles). but this is just my preamble, not the actual problem, lol.

I am redoing the bathroom and have the back wall.

It will be the wall of the shower and the end of the tub. you see it is as soon as you walk in the bathroom.
It is 8ft high, 9ft wide.

I can't wrap my mind around how to do it.

Fine if i ever i find tiles, sigh... lol
but i can't figure out if a 8x9 wall would be overwhelming with all funkiness.

or if i should put subway ( i think that would be overwhelming, but maybe some... bevelled, white or glass?)

or if i need large scale tiles (2ftx1ft for example).

the bathroom is 9ft wide and 10ft long.
it will have a shower across the back and the tub making an L on the left side. behind the tub is the closet.

on the right side it will have the toilet and vanity.
then you are back out into the hallway.
oh, no natural light in the room.

so, help?
how to tile a large accent wall that will be showered on?
