Lighting this room, with its super-high ceilings (which are actually the exposed structure of the roof) was a real challenge. What you are seeing in the center of the room, is low voltage mono-rail track which was provided by Wilson Lighting in Overland Park. You can see that several types of fixtures can be used on the same suspended mono-track, and there are multiple switching options. The sconce lighting above the perimeter cabinets is low-voltage halogen, from Hafele. They support the main lighting and bring illumination to specific task areas.

The track is a 2 circuit track that allows for the pendent lights to be switched separately from the directional lights. That really allows for maximum flexibility from a single rail system.
