I can't see your pics, but i've had good results with taking whatever wall color is and cutting it to 50% strength for ceiling color if you don't want white-white.

Pic worked now. Ah I see-- you don't have crown molding either. I think white would be a mistake with the beige. I like how what you have now feels so open because the ceiling and wall color are similar. Yeah Accessible Beige by 50% might be too taupe for your ceiling but you never know until you try. That trim doesn't look like a creamy white in the photo at all. For what it's worth, I have different color ceiling in different rooms, although 90% of them are some shade of neutral and it doesn't feel choppy.
