Spring trade/round robin

Getting started on this a bit early so I can prepare to root cuttings for those who wish to participate:

I have MANY (too many!) hoyas available, but I am looking for a couple to replace some I lost over this season:

danumensis (still no clue as to why it just went south)

valmayoriana (lost/misplaced/raccoon sacrifice?)

If anyone has these, feel free to pipe up and let me know what you are interested in and I will be glad to let you know if I have it!*

*Right now, I can only do US trades, sorry!

Denise, did you still want a cutting of that hybrid pubicalyx I have?

ANYONE, feel free to add your trade requests on this thread!

I can trade you a cutting or plant of danumensis once the weather warms up! Do you still have the chewiorum looking hoya with the fuzzy yellowish flowers similar the h fraterna flowers? It might be labled as aff. coriacea.

I don't! I really need to update my trade list!

I DID have it, Jimmy! Even have pics of it's flowers:

Unfortunately, it just didn't "speak" to me. I have so many hoyas with thin leaves and yellow flowers, and since it was not fragrant, I gave it away in a trade.

Here is an incomplete list of what I do have:

    H. buotii 'Sunriser'

    halcoensis

    waymaniae

    sp. Burmar

    sp. Bogor

    aff. incrassata

    lamingtoniae

    sp. SR-2013-005

    several pubicalyx types/clones

    chinghungensis

    lucardenasiana

    aff. clandestina

a few coronaria clones (Narathiwat, white, pink)

a few imperialis clones (Mary's Cottage, Palawan, red, pink, yellow, Doug's clone)

These are just my huge plants (the big ones stand out, lol). Like I said, I really need to update my list. Going to try to do that over the next few weeks.

Alright, cleaned my list up a bit. There are still a few that are not added, but, eventually, lol!

I haven't made a list in years, and I'm sure it's so different from ones I used to have, so I need make one too for spring when I will trade some too. I think I will just list ones that are big enough to cut, altho I'm not sure I have big ones that are needed by most of you as you all here seem to have all the ones I do too. I lost a lot of my smaller and rarer ones when family tragedys kept getting in the way of my plant tending.

All my plants are new to me. Only about 5 of mine are large enough for cuttings and looks like everyone has what I have too.

Aurora, what is this hybrid pubicalyx that you speak of? You know me: I love my pubicalyxes! :D

    Very pretty!

I know I wouldn't have anything to contribute to the RR, but if anyone has extras of these, let me know :). Some I lost and would love to have again or they're small plants that I would like to make larger.

    cv. Mathilde

    cv, Sunrise

    pubicalyx "Red Buttons"

    motoskei

    mindorensis

    limoniaca

    verticillata

I'm also still hunting for that elusive String of Hearts!

I have you covered on Mathilde and Red Buttons. My mindorensis aren't looking happy, but they never do in the cooler months.

I'm going to want a piece of that hybrid Pubicalyx too. So save a piece for me please.

This is probably a dumb question but what is "round robin"?

Normally, you start with a theme for round robin trades, but the natural theme here would be hoya cuttings and plants. Although, it'd be neat to do themes based on flower color, leaf pattern, or even Hoya sections! But, since I think this is the first time someone has offered to do a round robin (I'm planning to do a monthly one this spring/summer, if anyone is interested), we should treat it as more of a trade/swap.

The way I do themed round robins would go something like this:

March 2017 Round Robin - Splashy leaves

Those who want to participate would send me their name and address in an email. I would then send a cutting of a hoya with splashy leaves to a participating person. I usually send my cutting to the person furthest from me. For pretend sake, we will use moonwolf as an example. I send my gift (cutting) to him, along with the list of addresses and names of participating members. He, in turn, crosses his name off the list, and picks someone to send a splashy leaf cutting to.

The next person follows suit, making sure to cross their names off the list, as the robin goes round.

I always make myself the last person to receive a cutting, as I started the Round Robin.

For non-themed round robins, like this one, if you want to do one, I follow the same rules for themed, but allow participating members to make personal wish lists. This wish list should include at LEAST 5, but no more than 10, plants/cuttings.

Oh boy! My first RR! Hmm, the only splashy leafed Hoya I have is Pink Silver, so if anyone wants some of that, be sure to let aurora know! As she has said, she has me covered on Mathilde and Red Buttons.

Cool! Sounds fun. Thanks for the explanation!

Whew! Sorry it took so long, but my trade list is finally updated, minus orders that are on the way.

Oh, and friend let me name the pubicalyx cultivar. Named it cv. Wren (both of us have daughters named Lauren, but spelled differently, so we thought Wren would be a cute compromise).

My trade list is almost completely updated! Waiting on a few plants to arrive (I don't add 'em until I know they are here and have recovered from shipping):
