Dead space in kitchen

What can I do about this space next to the stove? The wall seems so empty. Help!! (Still renovating floor and doorways)

Add more cabinets. That is dangerous to end the cabinet run with the stove.

Yeah, I can't imagine how you ended up without an extra cabinet or set of drawers on that side. It's worth the time and trouble to get one now, at least base cabinets with some open shelves above, even if it means some fussy tile work to make the backsplash work. There's even an above-counter outlet already over there, like that was the plan but then somebody forgot about one set of cabinets...?

Something like this would be nice if you're able to order to match your existing cabinets.

are those new cabs? how did you not get one for the right side of stove??

do you have any remnants of your countertop? can you order another cabinet? its just weird how this spot was left out during the design. what happened?

They are refurbished cabinets that we got from a demo job. Adding an end cabinet that matches the rest is not an option.

Or perhaps a kitchen cart where you can set out your oils, etc?

If you can't match, contrast. Create a hutch type piece out of a different color. If you could do a cherry butcher block stained to match the cabinets, that could tie it together. Then take that accent color and use it elsewhere in the kitchen. Maybe paint the sink base and add feet to it. Something can tie it all together so that it looks like an unfitted space that is cohesive.

See how the upper connect with the lowers with corbels ? That wouldn't interfere with range access. And would allow you to have the outlet still there.

This was obviously intended to have another cabinet to the right of the stove. There is a horizontal receptacle already in place. It really needs another base and wall cabinet. It would not be difficult for a cabinet maker to match those cabinets.

I would go to habitat for America and find a cabinet base that you could repurpose to this space or a unit you could make work height wise and paint it black as extra cabinet. Kind of country kitchen look.

I would get a cart or something similar and make it functional

    How about a bakers rack?

I would get a small kitchen island/cart with a butcher block top that is same height as the cabinet to make it look like a continuation of the counter top. This would add storage and give you another space to prepare food. Then I would hang shelves of some type to hang utensils or pots on the wall.

I've always wanted to do a command center like the one attached.

And since your dead space is next to a door, it might be a perfect way to fill that space in the kitchen with something that transitions to the entryway.

Otherwise, a simple tall pantry could work, maybe.
