I'm in zone 7a as well. I tried a large variety of tomatoes last year and chocolate sprinkles was one. It did well, had a really nice color and shape and tasted good. I seem to remember it being a good producer but not like Black Cherry. That was crazy!

I'll plant it again. Flavor is just OK but they produce well in clusters, they seldom crack and they are attractive. Mine produced about twice as many as Black Cherry and although I much prefer the flavor and texture of Black Cherry the BC will crack more readily. I don't think the comparison is a good one. Choc. Sprinkles is a small grape that you can pick multiples at a time. Plants are vigorous indeterminates.

Chocolate Sprinkles didn't work out for me .... I grew it in 2016. They're great looking but for me they were low on production, just OK taste and thick skinned. For a dark cherry I like Black Cherry, Kazachka, Nefertiti and Ron's Carbon Copy much better for both taste and production.

I appreciate all the feedback, so thank you everyone. I think I will just go with Black Cherry. I've grown it before, and it produces a lot for me. Chocolate Sprinkles just looks so pretty, but so did the Bumblebee varieties I ordered last year. Only problem: Both the purple bumblebee and the sunrise bumblebee produced small orange cherry tomatoes. Nothing like the pretty pictures, and the taste was just so so. I am always tempted to try these new fandangled varieties, but sometimes the oldies are goodies.
