are the chairs side by side? or facing each other?

Hi Michelle, they're side by side. I'm not very good at putting shades to make things pop! When she said red. It left me speechless and thinking. I want to try it. Or would you stick with the beige ottoman?

The room is very small they're going in.

A clean-lined round ottoman would work well with those chairs - a similar leg, and different shape will help it accent the chairs, rather than looking like you tried to match them, and didn't quite get there.

I think the beige ottoman is a little heavy and plain - I agree that some color would be nice with those chairs - do you have a photo of the room?

This tray Ottoman is what was suggested with a dark red Throw on the chairs. That wasn't doing it for me.

I don't have a full picture of the room but it's small but here's a pretty good visual. I'm getting rid of that loveseat and everything in there.

You suggest one Ottoman or two? What material would you suggest for the ottoman?

While I love Ethan Allen products and services, if you are stretching a budget, check out Walmart! They have the most amazing round ottomans in all colors.

This is from Walmart on line store $99 It is smaller, but it is storage top too. Tufted. Not greatest quality, but hey, you are putting your feet up on it! They have larger ones, some great purples which I love. Just check it out. Most are under $200.

I have been thinking about that red too and while it has potential, I would make sure you know what "other elements" in your room that would relate to. Here is another one to consider.

I would keep your options open on the ottoman until you have a better overall bead on what you want to do with the other pieces in the space.

I know for a fact I'm going with the Red round ottoman, but I want the smooth top ottoman not the tufted look. Though everything you've sent me is very nice! Have you measured the space available in your room in comparison to the size of the two chairs? Do you actually use a coffee table or is it mostly for looks? Will more than one person want to set their drink on the ottoman? I think the little round ottoman is a good look but it seems impractical.

I was trying to make that room more of a relaxed look. That's why I wanted an ottoman. No one will be eating or drinking in that room at all. What suggestions do you have? I definitely want a red/dark red ottoman.

No I don't use a coffee table in there, I actually had that from a previous place and finally getting that loveseat and coffee table out of there. That room is too small for a coffee table.

I don't use a coffee table either. When I do need one for a gathering, I put a tray on my ottoman. It works out very well for the 2-3 days a year I would have actually used a coffee table for something other than a clutter gatherer.

Have you ever had an ottoman? Some find them cumbersome and not particularly useful. Some like them for their looks. Sounds like you want the cozy feel. Are you contemplating using this just for a reading room? If that is the case, might want to look into a nice Chaise Lounge. That could give you the best of both worlds. You can lift your legs and feet up and relax totally, read, or nap! If you have someone over a small scale side chair would work, or two people can sit on a chaise as well. Do something fun, like a animal print. These two chairs just feel kind of ordinary and un-exciting.

Something like this might fit your needs. A couple of red pillows and perhaps a small scale extra chair might work better for you. Just trying to give you some options you might not have thought about.
