That is so beautiful! I will be thrilled if my flowers look like that. Still waiting for the scape to mature. Very slow to flower for me.

Hope your weather gets nicer. - J

I like it!! I hope mine looks like yours too!! It will get more curvy as the flowers all open.

One of mine will be blooming in about a week and the other hasn't even sent up a leaf or a bud, nothing!! Makes me wonder if they're the same bulb?

Do you think it's a Lima cross?

Pretty! Mine will be blooming soon.

That's beautiful! I also hope mine will be similar, it's growing a few leaves, but so far no buds, keeping my fingers crossed, yours is a stunner :)

Hi Bea! Beautiful flowers! Thank you for sharing the photo))

You know I also have a cross Chico X Papilio they definitely have similarities!

yes Elena , of course I remember ! please feel free to post picture of your own cross Chico X papilio for we can see the similarities ☺

Thank you Beatrice! Thanks to you, I have found a mistake in the labeling. I have two cross with Papillio.

    Chico X papilio like look

and cross Sybister Rose X Papillio like looke

Both of these were very cross fertile.

Apparently there was confusion with the transplant plants, is now looking at your picture again, I established this fully , now I have to make changes to the albums.

Lovely flowers ladies!! I have several bulbs of chico x papilio waiting in the wings to bloom and I'm sure they will be pretty after seeing all of yours!! Thanks for sharing!!

Yes, Béatrice, very beautiful! Thank you for posting this and also your nice Chico x Papilio. Thanks to Elena too!

Mine should be open in a few days and now I'm really looking forward to it! How many scapes does it have? Mine has only one but also leaves and roots.

My Mystica's first flower has opened today. It is not pinkish as agapanthe's picture. It's color is very much like Lima and flowers are smaller. I think Lima is still better.

Mine is not open yet but I like the way the stigma is peeking out of the bud...

My first flower is just opening and I agree with Maria it doesn't seem to look like Beatrice's flower. I'll wait a few days for it to open fully before I pass judgment but I fear it will just be a smaller Lima type....maybe the color will bleach a little towards pink when it's been out for a few days??

Donna, Maria, my flowers are not so pink !! I wrote it before the last pictures I posted. They are like Lima's colors

Here us my Mystica in all her glory! She took a long time to flower but worth rhe wait. Mocca is still dragging her feet oops scape lol-J

Very pretty Jody! My first flower has the style stuck to one of the petals so I'm waiting for another flower.

Mine tipped over last night. It was well rooted but the cup was too small. Luckily the flowers are fine, just the scape broke. The leaves are gone too but I hope it will grow new leaves soon! It's already planted in a bigger pot.

Here is the flower on my kitchen table enjoying the morning sun. I like it very much! I don't have Lima so I can't compare but I think it's a beauty.

So pretty Anja! I really like the veining- bright red against a light green, so vibrant. I think she's a beauty too!

Donna, I hope your next flower opens soon so you can enjoy her and let us know what you think.

One thing, I only have three flowers on the only scape she is producing. How about everybody else?

Four flowers on the only scape. It also grew leaves and many roots, so I hope the bulb will grow and produce two scapes next year. Flowers open extremely slow.

I'm thinking of putting pollen on this Kormoriya bulb. What do yoy think? - J

Oooh Jody, that is lovely!! Is that the one that you got as a mislabel a few years ago and weren't sure if you liked it or not?? Do I see 3 flowers, if there are three, then maybe next year 4!!

If you're thinking of putting Mystica's pollen on this I'd certainly try, the flowers should be very interesting!!

If this was the one that was a mislabel, did you ever send Komoriya a picture to see if they could ID it for you? They have several of that style...

    Hi Jody,

That is very beautiful, I would definitely try something on it. There is something very similar called Eye Catcher and I think you have just convinced me to get it...sigh. I just spent the whole weekend repotting about 50 pots of hippies...like I need another one??? OY :-))))

    Fred

Yes, Donna, that is the Komoriya noid and I never did send a picture to them :( there are three flowers on this bulb. It faithfully reblooms each year.

Just so you know Fred, there is no cure lol

I will make seeds available if it takes. -J

Hi Jody, putting Mystica pollen on this beauty sounds like a very good idea! Good luck!

Here is my first blooming Mystica scape. The second scape is just opening, and it's leaning way off to the side. I kind of like it, I wish it were a little larger but it's sort of cute, especially when it comes into its shape. Mine is quite dark and these colors are true. My second bulb is doing nothing currently, just rooting. I'm happy with this one!!

Must be a Lima cross don't you think??

I might put some of this pollen on my next scape of Fledermaus....

Hi Donna! Thanks for the beauty! I think that the mother Papillio, and father could be any burgundy cybister.

    The form tells me this))

    Elena.

    Very beautiful :-))))))

Beautiful!! Donna , yours has so much more color than mine - I like it!

Thanks everyone. I'll try to take a few pictures outside tomorrow while the weather is still mild to see if it looks lighter in outside light as most of your pictures seem to have been taken outdoors.

And yes Elena, I'm sure you're right that one of the parents is papilio!

I took Mystica outside just now but as it is overcast, her colors are about the same as inside.

I'm very happy with this one too!!

    Donna

    Yup...still beautiful :-))))

You have two scapes, Donna! Lucky you! Mine has the same colors like yours, it looks just a little different because of the sunlight that came through the window the moment I took the picture. I didn't like RCs pictures so much and I'm really happy now that I ordered one :-)

I already put some pollen on Amore. Maybe I get more stripes and a better shape...

Elena, I'm sure you are right!

    Anja

I only have one scape too...my bulb was quite small. I love yours !!

I do think that using her pollen will add great form and unique color to many flowers. I think I'll use some on both Mocca and especially Fledermaus and when I get more flowers from Magical Touch I think that might be good to try too!! I'm afraid the sky is the limit with Mystica's pollen and I think she will greatly enhance anything she is put on!!☺☺☺

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that their Mystica flowers don't last long at all!!! My first flower had started to whither before the second flower was totally out and I though it was just a first flower fluke, but the rest of the flowers on both scapes look good for just a couple of days and then start to whither. Not a good trait to pass on so I guess I should make sure I only use it on a flower that lasts a good amount of time...just an observation....of these new flowers, Mocca, Fledermaus and my not Mosaique lasted a good amount of time.

I also found that my Terra Mystica flowers didn't last long either. There were plenty of flowers but I was picking off spent flowers before they were all open just like Mystica.

I might add that both Terra Mystica and Mystica were fairly well rooted.

While on the other hand, my Magical Touch bulbs all lasted a fairly good amount of time considering they all bloomed with multiple scapes with no roots!

Am I the only one whose mystica won't bloom? :( i think it's rooting, it has a couple of leaves but as of yet, no signs of a scape..

My Terra mystica on the other hand is sending up a third scape on no roots. i was afraid i'd loose it, after the first 2 scapes it wans't looking all that good, was quite squishy, but it seems to have firmed up again

Found this in my phone pics. It must have been Mystica's second scape with Lemon Feather.

Sabrini, I got two Mysticas ( I think) and one had already bloomed with 2 scapes and the second one has done nothing but root. Not a sign of a scape so I was thinking maybe it was a mislabel. I guess I got one like yours and hopefully, they'll send up a scape eventually.

Maria, that picture is lovely, the two together make a lovely contrast!
