how long have you had it? How often do you water? How do you water? In sips or thorough flushes?

fertilize? If so, with what?

How long has it been in the current pot? When was the last full repot (removed all soil from roots and placed in fresh soil)?

what type of soil is it in?

light? Looks like it's against a wall that has a window across from it. That's not enough light for a ficus Benjamina. Putting it right up in front of a window would definitely give it a more favorable appearance but will still depend on other factors. Another thing to note is the tree is very heavily supported. Another indicator it isn't getting enough light.

Are the mealy bugs gone?

lastly, this section of the forum is for edible figs. That does not include ficus Benjamina.

I have been watering in sips but now have changed my watering habits to allow water to drain from the bottom once a week. As for the mealybugs I have been inspecting the plant and have not found any but I did have a big infestation. Don't know what type of soil I have but I do have a bag of organic soil so I can repot it if need. Have not fertilized. Thank you for answering.

i have mine in the 5:1:1 mix, fertilize with foliage pro 9-3-6 and give it as much light as I can. I don't do anything special beyond that and this is what I have: not posting this to "show off" my tree. But I'm posting to show what yours could look like with proper care and maybe to help inspire.

With a little work you could have yours looking much better by the end of summer.

I'd recommend you place it outside when nighttime temps stay above 55°. Over a week or so you could acclimate it to full sun.

You should also do a full repot into a better mix in June.
