I haven't grown it but think it is a lovely plant. To me it almost looks more like some type of a eucalyptus than a lonicera. Unfortunately it is quite rare, even though it was brought back into the commercial nursery trade around 2006 or 2007. I don't know if it just hasn't caught on with the gardening public or if it is hard to propagate and ship. It seems especially popular in Colorado so it must do well there, and you can find it in nurseries there sometimes if you're traveling through Colorado at the right time.

Your absolute best chance of finding it might be via online nurseries like High Country Gardens that ship plants from Spring through Fall, but none of those types of places keep their websites updated in winter (likely because then people would be trying to order in winter when plants can't be shipped) so you'll have to wait for them to update their websites with availability in latest winter or earliest Spring to see if they'll have it this year.

You also might find it this Spring in independent garden centers/local nurseries that carry Monrovia Plants since they were the ones who distributed it when it was brought back into commercial cultivation. Sometimes you'll find Monrovia Plants in some large garden centers at big box stores like Lowe's, but I've never seen Kintzley's Ghost in a Lowe's, although I wasn't looking for it there either.

yes, i found it at a couple online nurseries, but its so darn expensive. i might bite the bullet come spring.

I think it stays expensive, which leads back to me wondering if it is very difficult to propagate. There's got to be some reason that is remains so hard to find and so costly.
