A very handsome and healthy coconut tree there! How tall is your tree now? What do you have to do to keep it looking so healthy?

Mine was about 3-4 ft when I planted in 2013 (about 3 years back). Every time, the temperature dips down here, it stops growing.

kinzyjr...thanks. I didn't observe any severe damage or anything outside the norm. The lowest fronds seemed a little more brown but the crown appears healthy.

bananafan2, they need 4 things. Lots of light, lots of water, regular feeding and lots of room to grow. They get huge. I fertilize every 3 months and also put the fertilize stakes in the ground. I also add some manganese cause my soil lacks it quite a bit. In the winter I start seeing signs of boron deficiency cause some fronds don't fully open up. That's normal cause as the soil cools, it gets bound up and harder for the roots to absorb it. Overall, it's about 10-12 feet to the highest point. I wonder if you don't get enough sun...yours looks like it's you're shady. Do you fertilize regularly?
