My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I have lost some of my labels on earlier plantings and I am now trying to catalog the conifers in my garden. I could use some help in identifying these. Thanks
Someone with better ID skills than mine needs to chime in, but the first appears to be a golden cultivar of Cedrus deodara. There are a few. Could be 'Gold Cascade'. Second maybe Picea omorika 'Pendula Bruns'. Third perhaps Picea pungens 'The Blues' (also sold as Slenderina I think).
Yes, the ones that are horticultural selections where multiple different introductions have been circulated - such as Himalayan cedars with yellow leaves - may not really be identifiable using the method of showing pictures on the web. If you have bought any of these locally and the same kinds may be on display in local gardens or nurseries - now or later - in person comparison of samples clipped from your plants with these specimens may be more direct and reliable.
1 - Cedrus deodara 'Aurea', could be 'Gold Cascade' or 'Gold Cone' but it looks like 'Aurea' to me. 'Aurea' is usually the one that it more available.
2 - Picea glauca 'Pendula'
3 - Picea pungens 'The Blues'
4 - Picea pungens '?' not sure the cultivar as there are many nice blue ones with similar form.
5 - Cryptomeria japonica 'Compressa' or 'Tansu' perhaps. If it grows less than an inch a year it could be a ginormous 'Tenzan'. Not sure the cultivar. Lots of them. =)
