Our new home (under construction) is designed with an awesome great room. The room is approx. 20' x 41' and features 14' walls with a vaulted ceiling reaching 20' at its highest point. We plan to do wood beams along the ceiling but are struggling with whether to do trusses across the room. We like the idea of a truss to bring the height of the room down a bit. We are looking for help on the design/style of the trusses. Should the trusses be the same color as the wood beams on the ceiling? Should they be a more neutral color or the same color as the ceiling? Any input/photos of examples are helpful! Thanks so much!
