We're planning a home now with similar characteristics and some of the questions we have that only experience could answer are...

With the house open, how does it work out with bugs? My wife is concerned about bugs getting into the kitchen and pantry. How do you keep them out?

Secondarily, how does it go for books and maybe a piano as far as humidity is concerned?... Oh and the random critters that can't read the neon no vacancy sign? :). Loooove to hear your experience as we embark on this journey!
