I got a Musa Balbisiana Atia in October and eagerly (and ignorantly) put it in a massive clay pot, I'm in zone 7a so of course it's inside in a south facing window. It was growing quite slowly but surely. I did my research and found out bananas do best when they are slightly pot bound, I dug it up and to my suprise the root system hadn't gotten much larger than when I first planted it, I carefully got as much of the rootball as I could and put it in a fresh new one gallon pot with perlite rich soil. The 2 oldest leaves are now drooping 24 hours later and one has black edges, I'm confident the banana will make it as the stem, while small, is quite hard and sturdy. Suggestions? Should I water with some root stimulator? Avoid direct sunlight? Should I trim off the drooping leaves before they die completely? Whatever you would do at this point to ensure the best and quickest recovery please share with me. Thanks!
