Can you grow 2 different wisteria together?

Just curious as I am researching different varieties of wisteria to plant in our new house. I have always wanted a black dragon or Violacea Plena but also like Cooke's Blue or even a repeat bloomer like Amethyst Falls. I have also recently read something about planting Asian and American wisteria together to get a longer blooming season?

Has anyone done this? We have about a 1/3 of an acre back yard, so I know I have room for one big Wisteria plant, but wanted to make sure before I started planting multiple plants. Thanks!
