We are putting in very dark hardwood floors throughout our home. All the trim and cabinets are going to be painted BM White Dove. Our cabinet maker is also doing our island in a wood stain, stair parts, beams, mantle, etc. that will be stained. My question is:

Should all the things he is staining match the door floors? Or can we do a little bit lighter stain on everything but the floors?
