I'd have preferred a grey! Latisil Silicone caulk (by Laticrete) comes in the colors denoted by the yellow triangle:

Anyone now if the white caulk can be removed? We were never consulted on color. Is that usually just a decision the installer makes?

White is actually the least noticeable. It looks great, leave it alone. Big chance is any gray ends up reading too blue in tone or too dark.....or dirty. That's for you to try.......I'd do one short side if it bugs you. Then decide. I bet you stick with the white.

I have a question about those silicone caulks. I've seen silicone caulks discolor the stone over time (I assume the silicone soaks into the stone). Is that not a problem with those you are recommending?

That's not a problem I've ever encountered. Rub a little sealer in the corners first and silicone after it has dried.

Why wouldn't they have used clear silicone? I have white on my marble too and dislike it

They didn't have any in the truck and had two more installs to get done that day. That's why.

Sorry I'm new to all this. What is the most common or best silicone to use with carrera marble - clear? White? Gray? I guess that's what I meant by why wouldn't they have used clear.
