Our New Kitchen

Amish Built Alderwood cabinets, Slate appliances, Quartz Counters

We built our home in 1988 and needed an update on the kitchen and also added a sun-room. So happy with the results!

It's a subtle change, at least in the pictures, but looks lovely and functional. Congrats!

Love the cabinets. What stain did you choose?

Hope you enjoy. So nice of you to share your hard work!

Lyndy, we had the Amish come up with a custom stain. They knew the basic color (Colonial Maple) and did 10 varying shades of it for us to pick from.

Very nice!! Bonus points for it not being yet another white kitchen. I was also considering having the Amish do my cabinets. Those people have some serious wood working skills.

Thanks, Tony! They did have a major job around the same time as our project that was all white cabinets for a mega kitchen in Chicago. The owner grumbled about having to do it. He said they much prefer doing custom staining and bringing out the natural grain of the wood.
