I think the tub inside the enclosure can look extremely elegant & modern. I love it!

Thank you! I've just spent two hours reading a thread with over 300 comments about it and I'm more confused than ever!

Comments ranged from it's great to it's more to clean and it could turn off potential buyers. I see in your remodels that the tub is kept outside the shower enclosure.

What is nice with the tub and shower together it keeps all the wet items in one area. When we have clients that want a separate tub also want an environment that is relaxing to enjoy the tub, so the top and bottom pictures look like you would get that. The middle picture may be not as much. So it may depend on the client and their goals.

Separate, except if lack of space...

The tub inside the shower enclosure concept seems polarizing, so I think for resale purposes it's best to keep them separate if there's space (I have 12' x 12' feet with one 6' x 6' corner set aside for a closet). I'm sure no one goes into a house and says, oh, the tub and shower are separate, forget it, but I see some people have preconceived notions about the wet room's cleaning and safety.

I've found soaking in a tub in a large bathroom leaves me chilly. The idea of having it in a smaller, enclosed space not only looks modern, it can provide a 'cozier' soaking experience.

Jamie, so putting the bathroom in a nook would help?

It would definitely "feel" cozier, and depending on how it's laid out might help increase the actual temperature of the surrounding area while in the bathtub.

To me, having it in the shower looks like you'd have to clean it a lot more often. And I love taking baths, just doesn't appeal to me looks wise either.

I agree tooky58, but everything I've read from people who have this setup is that it doesn't have an impact on the cleaning schedule. I don't think I want to try and find out.

I'd still prefer separate, just prefer the look. Plus, my dream bathroom will have a fireplace at the foot of the tub. That way I'll get the warmth and the view.

Funny tooky58, I just tried to create a layout that allowed for a fireplace at the foot of the tub, like this! I'm scrapping that idea for multiple reasons though (requires entrance from the master bedroom to be through the master closet and I've been advised against that, and it limits my access to the backyard which I want to maintain. Plus the cost of a luxury that won't bring me more value to this house).
