Thank you for your interest in the Camp Sofa Bed. This sofa is not a convertible sofa and all you need to do is to simply remove the back pillows to use it as a sleeper sofa bed. The back metal frames comes with a fabric cover as well (as shown on the second image here)

The overall depth of the sofa is 33.5" (85cm). Please find the attached images and dimension drawing to give you a better idea how this item looks without the back pillows.
