Are nursery pots safe?

I am thinking about using cheap black nursery pots like these http://www.growerssolution.com/PROD/1-gallon-black-trade-pot/OGTP?gclid=Cj0KEQiAtqHEBRCNrdC6rYq9_oYBEiQAejvRlzDOgQol4AfgMvtOicD2ED3K61OJU_isPrJfCEUYf0gaAtJw8P8HAQ to grow lettuce and spinach. Are they safe? I've heard some people say they only use food safe containers. I have never posted a link so I hope this works.
