I think you can work with what you have. Fixture is undersized for the room. Art is to small and is not good subject matter for a dining room.

I would add that the rug is too small for the table and chairs, but it appears you may not be able to fit a larger one. In that case, I would recommend no rug at all.

Think "function": your centerpiece is too high. When a dining centerpiece blocks the view of those across the table, it feels unwelcoming and formal. It feels like what it is: a very formal space that is dusted off and used only on holidays.

Finally, I would repeat the cutout shape in the seatbacks of the chairs: in the art or chandelier.

I have no idea why the art would not be suitable for a DR but it is too small the light of course does not work and IMO neither do the end chairs which do not have a connection to anything in the space . Most of the time a center piece on a DR table is removed when actual dining so the height doesn’t bother me . The rug is too small for the table and chairs I would look for a linear light fixture

put wainscoting in the dining room in a white on white color and make it approx-38" above the floor line all around the dining room and that will make the room feel more integrated with the dining set...then move the art higher between the wainscot and the ceiling.

I love the set and the lighting fixture and rug are just fine and seem to go with the genre of the set..
