Liability Insurance - non-edibles

For those of you who market non-edible products (i.e. plants, annuals, perennials, shrubs, etc.) does your Farmer's Market require liability insurance?

The Farmers Market closest to me requires $500K of liability insurance, even if I only sell plants, where a much larger market further away, only requires that liability (same amount) if I sell edible goods.

I don't understand why it would be required on non consumable goods . What kind of liability do I need to worry about if someone buys a plant from me?

Just trying to understand if this is the norm.

Thank you

Mindy
