Looks great for a bar/beverage set up but it sounds like you want to change the function by removing the shelves. How do you want to use this space?

Paint or wallpaper the inside of the nook. If you use wallpaper, put it on the back wall and paint the side walls and ceiling a color from the paper. I kinda like the glass shelves. If you want to change them - paint instead of wallpaper and get large scale art for the wall. This would make it focal point in your room. So many choices and styles of art available.

Sorry, got carried away. It is so exciting to do a project like this. Instead of just the ordinary nook it could be so much more special.

Thanks, I never thought of putting a piece of art work there. Would I fill up the whole space with artwork. I did like the shelves too but I was thinking about reclaimed wood also, then adding some books, etc. I have a eclectic type of style. the Kitchen is white Shaker cabinets.

Its great as that type of setup - but I would not use it. Im not really sure but its looks boring right now.
