There are some less expensive granites that come close in price to some of the higher end laminates. If you think it will be 10 years before you remodel or if a remodel isn't even in the plan at all, then that may be something to consider. Home Depot and other home center stores also carry quartz that goes on sale.

A hardwood floor always looks nice in a white kitchen. One of the least expensive but most classic would be a 2 1/4 oak floor. If there is hardwood in the rest of the home see if you can match it. If hardwood is not in the budget, LVP wood look is a popular choice. The wood warms up a white kitchen.

I would pick the floor first, then the countertop. The backsplash will depend on the countertop. Look though pics of white kitchens to see what appeals to you.

How long are you planning to stay here? If only a few years, I'd do mid tone laminate floors throughout and leave the counters as-is. The laminate counter is a good choice for renters. Save the money for something more necessary.

The flooring people seem to recommending the LVP over laminate and say laminate doesn't hold up as well in wet areas - just what I've heard.

Dark floors show more dust and are a little bit trending out - but if you love them, that is what counts.

Either dark or light countertops. I like light - I like to work on light colors. It is just a personal preference. Some black counters show fingerprints - one of the granites I believe and I hear complaints, but I am not sure which one.

LVP is the term for "Luxury Vinyl Plank". It has grown in popularity as more choices are available. It is a rather inexpensive approach to flooring, (snap and lock installation), but the floor surface will dictate how each piece locks together so not a great deal of control. You are at the mercy of what we call the bow factor/banana factor. Full disclosure: we do not install vinyl so will defer to experts in vinyl tile installation.
