Check out Bermex Furniture. They put a special coating on their tables for durability. And you can select from several different sizes, shapes, legs etc.

Our kitchen table and chairs came from Bermex. Kind of pricey but really good quality. As Lisa mentioned, the selection of style choices was extensive, along with finish choices.

Ours is from Pottery Barn. It seats 6 and holds up well to everyday abuse. Pottery Barn has some nice choices, too. I checked there when we were looking. Their prices were definitely less, but I couldn't find the finish I wanted. My mom ordered this Tivoli set from them. It held up well but wasn't exposed to a lot of wear and tear.
