@GeorgiaPeach, is the Pro Classic formula you are so happy with a water base or oil? Did you spray or brush? Thank you so much for your input! I’m also going with SW Aged White in my bedroom for the trim and doors and ceiling. I much prefer a creamy warm white for my traditional home instead of a stark white. Love that all of you had such great love for this beautiful color!!

Tricia Peacock., it is a latex formula.
When I painted over existing stained trim I used Krud Kutter gloss off,1-2 coats of Kilz and two coats of aged white with a good quality brush,allowing plenty dry time between coats. The pro classic is a self leveling formula so it's very forgiving for novice painters. Long even strokes with as little backbrushing as possible .
The semi-gloss on trim is so beautiful.
I used Sherwin William's Eminence ceiling paint in Pure White #7005 & am very pleased with that color against the aged white on crown molding.
The staff at Sherwin Williams are very helpful. Best of luck.

@GeorgiaPeach 1970 thank you so much for all of your input from what you learned!! I don’t trust myself to restrain from any backbrushing 🙊🙊 but I’ll try! I like that the paint is self-leveling. My doors and door casings and baseboards are going to be a humongous project because they haven’t been painted in (((gasp))) 20 years!! So they are covered in oil-based, long-lasting beautiful paint and I’m terrified to ruin my moldings. We are having professionals paint our crown moldings and ceilings and walls because I can’t do all the crazy patching from water damage and sanding but I do love to fall into Project Land and do some painting myself. So I’m very appreciative of your input!! Thank you!!

Our house is 35 years old and we did a big remodel last year.
We had stained and satin varnish on all our trim. I took on the task of all the existing windowsills and door casings. Thank heaven I found out about Krud Kutter. Most of the door facings and all of the crown molding, baseboards & doors were new.
I painted everything! Several hundred linear feet of trim + 15 doors.
Long even strokes are the key to a smooth finish.

Any comments on what Aged White would look like in our kitchen? We have Santa Cecilia countertops (plus black for the island) but the backsplash in the photo will also be changing (suggestions on this also welcome!). Walls are SW Kilem Beige so we were looking for a creamy color cabinets (definitely do not want yellow or green or pink tones!) There is lots of natural light in the kitchen.

@GeorgiaPeach 1970, We used a company called Simpli Painted and they sprayed paint on cabinets. I’m not sure if the used SW ProClassic formula, but we love the Aged White color.

We have oak cabinets and the aged white turned out nicely! We still need to paint our walls.

So glad I found these comments...we just bought a house that has oak custom cabinets in it and we are having them all painted SW Aged White....its a 1984 house. I was having trouble deciding on a color for them all....the walls are being painted SW Latte in the main living, and bedrooms will be SW Kilim Beige....after reading all this I feel so much better about my decision. If anyone has any more pictures to share please do!

Please forgive the mess! I've been in quarantine for 7 days with my daughter sent home from school, so I've been painting multiple rooms. With Aged White...lighting is everything. My kitchen has very warm bulbs and the Aged White walls look creamy, not dirty. The cabinets are a light creamy/greige color formica (not painted). In the dining room the Aged white looks more off white and less creamy since I have tons of bright lamps in there while I'm painting and they aren't casting much yellow onto the walls. I'll eventually invest in all new bulbs for the kitchen that aren't so warm!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color! I don't know how it didn't make it to SW favorites this year. The bottom part of the walls in the dining room are now SW Moth Wing with Aged white above the chair rail. Think I'll do Creamy on the trim?? The next room is the living room and it's now

Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter (no pics yet). Really awesome color that is neutral and shifts undertones with lighting and accessories.

Here's the dining room. Aged white on top and Moth wing below.

As you can see, when Aged White has natural daylight or cooler bulb color, it's like a super light greige...very little yellow and I wouldn't call it dirty. It's also not bold and bright, more subdued and relaxed. It's a winner if you don't want stark white, very yellow creamy or just plain light grey.

If you all are interested, I'll post pics of the Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter once it's finished. I think it goes well with the Moth Wing and Aged White. Would love some suggestions for trim throughout this common area. The kitchen trim is SW Creamy. Kitchen isn't connected to the main common rooms so I could change slightly if it'd look better.

@lancepaskewitz Aged white would look great if you don't have really yellow or really cold light bulbs. It's an off-white with a touch of yellow. If you want a brighter white that's cleaner and a touch more yellow, you might like Creamy. Or here's an idea from SW https://www.rughdesign.com/color-selector/kilim-beige-sw-6106-complementary-palette/

Thank you so much, everyone who gave me such great input about my SW Aged White color that I did end up choosing for my crown moldings and ceiling and ceiling medallion in my bedroom. I screamed when I saw it right when the painters finished spraying it because after my maniacal deliberations of about 20 different off-whites, the finished color was PER-FEC-TION 🙌!! Gorgeous!! NOT dingey or grayish or yellowish at all... just perfect and what I would call a neutral creamy white. The SW color that is actually called “Creamy” was too starkly white for me. I have a style of home that I call “Traditional Glam” so I like a very traditional look. I will try to post photos but I’m so thankful to you all!!

Very pretty. I, too, feverishly worked until the last minute to find the perfect white. The designer kept pushing me toward Alabaster, which is a beautiful white, but too stark white for me. She had Aged White on the exterior of her home and thought it would be too yellow for me, but I saw no yellow. Because we wanted our crown to stand out, we chose Neutral Ground for the walls, Aged White for the crown and cabinets, and Creamy for the ceilings. All in semi-gloss and we love it. I broke all the paint rules, but couldn't be happier with the results.

@P Patt your combo sounds so pretty! My painter also suggested I use SW Alabaster on my ceilings because it is the SW nearest equivalent to the standard original Dunn Edward’s “Swiss Coffee” (not the Benjamin Moore color of the same name which has more gray...) and it seems that Swiss Coffee is a commonly-used trim color. I accidentally used it on my crown moldings in my living room and it’s too too stark white for what I wanted. My living room walls are Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter and while the stark white of Swiss Coffee is pretty against the Revere Pewter, it’s too kinda contemporary for my style. I will immediately repaint them with Aged White to match the existing trim color of my windows and built-ins of that room. Color is so personal and evokes different moods and tones of a room so I’m thankful we have input from the community here to speak of our experiences and share photos! Thank you again to all who helped me!!

thanks all i want to try aged white. i have tried dover white and creamy and both seem to bright for my kitchen cabinets. I had a more antique white and want to brighten slighty

When we were building our house, I had an hour with an interior designer, and the only thing I needed was help choosing interior paint colors. Although her choices were pretty, they were very trendy. She had Aged White on the exterior of her home and feared it would be too yellow. I didn't see it in her pictures. She was frustrated, as I took very little of her advice, but I wanted all off whites, light and bright. I panicked the day before giving the painter our colors, but we couldn't be happier with the results. My phone doesn't take great pictures and one picture is a little dark, due to lighting, but we love the colors. Cabinets are Aged White and walls are Neutral Ground.

Thank you, susanlynn2012. You have no idea how your comment encourages me. We'd lived in our home 40 years and it flooded for the second time in 2019. We're too old to do that, again. We had only a few hours notice, so we lost much and what we didn't lose, doesn't work. After living in a Tudor home for 40 years, I'm out of of my comfort zone, even though we'd remodeled the other one, at least 4 times. This time, we're going with lighter and brighter and French Country. We've lived in new homes before, but this is the first time we'd designed it. The design was divinely inspired. The decoration is a work in progress, as am I. Thank you. GOD is good.

I’m so thankful you both had encouraged me with this stunning paint color because I just painted the beamed ceiling in our family room and will be painting my kitchen ceilings and walls and crown mouldings in Aged White also; pics to come 😉.

3 years ago we replaced all our trim work and painted it aged white. A year ago we replaced our kitchen cabinets and naturally painted them aged white. I can't love this color enough. Not a sterile white and not dingy or yellow. I think it's the perfect off white.

Hi HD!! Okay so the aged white I used is entirely on all of the ceilings in my home. However, I had Sherwin Williams do the formulations at 75% instead of 100%, to make it a teeny bit brighter. The photos of this bedroom ceiling are in this thread above ☝️. We also did the same formulation of Aged White on our wooden beamed ceiling in our sunroom just two years ago and I’ll post some photos below. I used the normal formulation of Aged White for our front hall and bedroom hall ceilings and it’s gorgeous. We are moving on to kitchen painting next, and while I am going to be using SW Clary Sage on all our cabinets, I will be using Aged White on all the ceilings and soffits and doors and baseboards. I’ll post those when done but in the meantime I will post the sunroom ceiling below!

Our sunroom beamed wood ceiling is SW aged white at 75%….

These are our bedroom with the ceiling also painted SW Aged White at 75% saturation. I think I would have preferred it 100% saturation in our bedroom with the rich gorgeous SW Green Onyx walls. For the bedroom and sunroom and anything but the kitchen, I recommend SW Cashmere paint!! It is silky and gorgeously matte and dreamy.

Oops sorry, friends… houzz doesn’t let us edit our comments :(!! Meant to say that I just painted our bedroom a year and a half ago and our sunroom was painted not even a year ago; Sept. 2021. Wall color in the sunroom is Benjamin Moore River Gorge Gray and wall color in our bedroom is SW Green Onyx; in person the paint in our bedroom looks much more muted because I had the warm lights on in the photos, but the colors in the sunroom that I posted in three of the photos showing the daytime are very true to life because so much natural sunlight comes into that room.

Aged white might not be the one due to the size and lack of natural light. Check out casa blanca sw 7571, I had the same problem and it was the right choice. Good luck 👍

We have most of our rooms painted with Aged White. We are so happy with the color. I describe it as a warm vanilla, a warm neutral. I was encouraged to go with Alabaster or Creamy, which I felt was too light for my taste. Glad I followed my instincts.

Does anyone have photos of Aged White on the exterior of their house?

This is the house of the decorator I used to pick my paint colors. She tried to discourage me from using Aged White, as she used it and thought it would be too yellow. However, I saw no yellow in this picture. Perhaps, she has a keener eye for color, but nevertheless, I liked it and used it for our interior trim.

Does anyone else have more pictures of using aged white on exterior?

I saw Aged White on a house exterior and thought it was beautiful!! I bought the paint and started on the front of my house and now it looks very yellow. My house faces West. Maybe it also seems yellow since I haven't finished the exterior and need to fix the screen and take off the awning? I think I am going to ask Sherwin Williams if they can lighten it a bit and hope that helps.

Consider also the home is under a shade tree and the sun is behind the house at the time of the photo. Try viewing it during the opposite time of day.

But I do agree that seems a bit too yellow for aged white. Maybe it was not mixed correctly?

@JamesPonciano Those are good things to think about. It's interesting because when I hold up the paint chip next to it, it looks exactly the same. So I guess it really is just the way the sun hits it at certain times of day and also maybe the grass and tree refleciting? I am going to trust the process and finish it all the way since I already have the paint. Hopefully it will look less yellow eventually!
