This is not marble, it is a quartzite.

1-1/4" - which is pretty standard!

Of course! We do it both ways - but in this particular design we wanted a lighter countertop on the dark cabinets and a bit darker on the white cabinets.

Love your kitchen! is standard thickness of countertop 1-1/4 or 1-1/2? I thought each slab thickness is 3/4" so double that would be 1-1/2? Thank you!

Natural stones are usually 1-3/16"-1-1/4". Man-made surfaces can vary 1cm, 2cm or 3cm. And then you could always miter and increase the thickness! It's all about the client and the design so it can be whatever you'd like!

Would you ever do a laminate like the formica 180x calacatta marble? I will have the cabinets but have to wait on a quartz. Thx!
